Winter tires are *required* for driving on a number of highways in Canada (many near the ski areas!) It has been reported that some drivers have been turned back without them. Please familiarize yourself with the regulations and be safe! (Some would say that these are good common-sense rules for driving to ski areas in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Alaska, too! Tires must be M+S or have the ‘mountain’ pictograph on them.

Rumo[u]rs suggest that if you are in an accident without snow tires, you may be held to a higher liability standard.
