White Salmon Road Area

Trail Map for White Salmon Road

The White Salmon Road cross country area is located at 3400 feet, to the south of and below the Mt. Baker Ski Area lower lodge. It has some great views of Mt Shuksan, Ruth, Sefrit, and Goat Mountains, and generally has snow both earlier and later than the Salmon Ridge area which is at the 2,000 level. The White Salmon area is regularly machine groomed and is a mix of easy and intermediate terrain. It is 3.2 km (1.9 mi) in length. The entrance to the White Salmon Road is just past mile post 51, located on a sharp hairpin turn which can be very dangerous. To access, it is highly recommended to drive an additional ¼ mile to turn around at the Mt. Baker Ski Area entrance and then come back. Parking is limited to 2 cars.

Please note, Ridge Road shown on the map is NOT a trail any longer, nor is there a connector with White Salmon Rd. .
